Pre-Ride Briefing
- This is not a social ride, nor a race, be respectful to fellow riders, safety first.
- Respect the pace of the group you sign into, not too fast and not too slow.
- If you are out of pace, wait for the slower group.
- It is ok to go at your own pace, fast or slow at individual pace section, but let's reconvene at assembly points.
- Lead riders will control time at the stops/reassembly points and will keep it down to a reasonable level to support descent flow and pace.
- Respect the instruction from the lead riders or staff in the support vehicles.
- Do not draft behind support vehicles, that is neither fair nor safe, except if you need to catch up with the group after mechanical issues.
- Section from Quiriyat to Dayqah is narrow and twisty with traffic. Single file riding only is allowed. Always keep right and expect vehicle appearing behind the corner.
- Stick to the route, riders that choose to deviate (e.g. by staying on the motorway on the return from Quiriyat) will be on their own without support vehicles and will not qualify to receive the Finisher's medal.
Ride Safety
- Ride is open for normal road bikes only. No TT bikes/handlebar, no E-Bikes.
- Each rider should wear a Helmet, front and rear lights, emergency telephone numbers.
- Observing traffic regulations, including traffic lights is a must, unless particular crossing is secured by police that signals riders to pass.
- Riders shall keep to the right hand side of the road.
- Drafting behind the support vehicle is not allowed.
- Show respect to fellow riders and follow instructions of organizers at all times.
- Organizers will provide a rear vehicle with mechanical support for each pace group.
- Segment from Quiriyat to Dayqah and back in a single file only, riders obliged to carefully observe traffic rules.
The individual pace segments offer riders the flexibility to challenge themselves on a specific parts of the course, enhancing the personal achievement aspect of the non-competitive event.

Individual Pace
- Riders in each group should stay together adhering to the expected group pace.
- This is not realistic on climbs and rolling sections.
- Highlighted segments will be cycled at an individual pace with group reconvening at the end of each segment.
Riders are encouraged to carefully select their speed and distance group. Those who struggle to maintain their group's pace may fall back and join a slower group. The 140 km groups will merge with their corresponding 240 km groups at the 140 km start point.
